Spartan Logistics is looking for an experienced forklift driver, that will assist with hand picking when needed with warehouse production experience. The Forklift Driver position is primarily responsible for forklift operating consisting of loading, unloading, and verifying products received and shipped on a daily basis. During this process, 100% accuracy is expected. The forklift driver is responsible for putting away stock and dropping stock. These duties are to be performed in an efficient, safe and productive manner. You will need to know how to safely operate and maintain your equipment.

As part of your role, you will also be primarily responsible for effective coordination of inbound and outbound warehousing movements, while accurately and efficiently picking customer orders. This will consist of reading a pick ticket for individual items to be moved, gathered, and shipped; assembling customer orders from stock and placing orders on pallets. Conveying finished pallets/orders to the staging area via forklift. You will need to stand and lift as part of your daily duties. Ensure company standards are met by verifying pallet counts and configuration of the selected order for distribution. Your goal is to make sure that the orders are filled as fast and accurately as possible, and the warehouse is safe and clean at all times.

Requirements:

Because of the high-value inventory, character and integrity will not be compromised. This position will stay until the job is done correctly.

OSHA Forklift certification is required and will be administered prior to starting your job functions. You must have at least two years of direct working experience and a dependable work ethic.

Must wear steel-toed boots and adhere to all safety requirements. You must frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs.

You must be able to read and comprehend pick tickets to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. You would assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets to go to the staging area. This position must verify pallet counts and configuration of the selected order for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards. You would drive a forklift to transport palletized items from pick line to staging area for shipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
